I think a big reason why Cartoon Network still uses this kind of animation is because of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Nah, CGI is just big nowadays. Either that or its just cheaper to produce (though to my understanding, I may be wrong, CGI animation cost more to produce than traditional animation.)

CGI is more expensive than traditional animation but the trade off is that you can pump out more material with less animators.
CGI is being used because everybody wants to cash in on Pixar's success and kids today have not seen a lot of traditionally animated cartoons and prefer the 3d stuff, so it is a sign of the times we live in.
The best we can do is quit whining about it and be thankful WB Animtaion is still in business to give us superhero cartoons.
The Golden Age of the 90s is dead and will never come back because of overly sensitive parent groups who threaten to sue over stupid crap, Michelle Obama's war on obesity scaring away cereal and fast food companies that sponsor the shows thus depriving them of funds in certain cases and hostile networks that care only about how much merch they can shill out that pull the plug on good shows before a fan base can fully assert itself.
It just doesn't work like it used to and we need to get over it and figure out how to adapt and support what we love.
This is... so bad. [Opening Eyes..]
1990's = animation. old people are fixated to it and they cannot move-on. drawing-pencils-sharpeners-papers-Dinosaur computers-etc. (close-gate). we need to deal with it.
2013 = welcome to the new age.. CGI ANIMATION spreading the entire globe, technology already evolved. "Beware The Batman" already stepping-Up to a new era for today's children sake. move forward, don't let yourself staying in backward.
essentials > CHILDREN's Present and FUTURE, past where they learned from it.. evolution happens same as to this CGI animation.

The CGI is sub par to other shows on right now. How to Train Your Dragon has better CGI than this. There it isn't so stiff and the story is actually engaging.
And other thing 2D animation is an art form by it self and I think it's disgraceful that you think it's 'old'. Let's not forget another new show CN added recently was Teen Titans Go, a 2D animation. In fact CN has more 2D shows that CGI. The most popular animated show here in the west right now is probably Legend of Korra, a 2D animated show.
sorry guys if it seemed like ive dissapeard
ever since btbm went in to hiatus ive been away
So its just on hiatus? Its not been canceled? Ok, good. The CGI may suck, but i still enjoy watching it.

You, sir, are so right. I may not like every CGI thing that there is. But there are CGI things that I do support. And Beware the Batman is one of them.
Even though I support Beware the Batman, I think that the Cartoon Network should stop airing it because I'm used to that channel airing stuff that isn't rated higher than TV-G.
But if you want to know which American network should air BTB, it's The CW. Besides, I think that it would fit in there well like when the channel had Kids' WB!
I don't think this show was that bad but there were a lot of problems. I know they didn't want Robin, but Katana? Really? Commissioner Gordon is supposed to like Batman! Why doesn't Harvey Dent approve in Batman. The whole point is that Batman and Harvey were best friends, and Batman was heartbroken after Harvey turned evil. Plus, the real reason Anarky is completely white is to remind us of Joker. Anarky is too much like Joker. Magpie is too much like Catwoman. The creators themselves confirmed that they tried to make Humpty Dumpty like Riddler. Due to bad reviews, the creators eventually decided to actually use popular villains. So we got Killer Croc, Man-Bat, Two-Face, Deathstroke and a few others. All in all, this show isn't that bad.
